The Ultimate Container Pool
Built from premium one-trip shipping containers with a vacuum-infused fiberglass mold interior. Engineered for any setting — backyard, rooftop, mountainside, or beachfront. The most efficient container pool on the market.
What Makes Our Container Pools Different
Most container pool companies seal the interior walls of a shipping container and call it a pool. We take a fundamentally different approach. Every Midwest Container Pool starts with a premium one-trip container, then receives a vacuum-infused fiberglass shell — the same process used in boat manufacturing. This eliminates air pockets, prevents cracking, and creates a smooth, algae-resistant surface that lasts decades.
Between the fiberglass shell and the steel container, we inject high-density foam insulation that achieves a 95%+ heat resistance rating. This means dramatically lower heating costs compared to traditional pools or uninsulated container pools. Combined with energy-efficient equipment, our pools are the most efficient in existence. How Container Pool Installation Works
Traditional pool construction takes 3 to 6 months, requires extensive excavation, and often runs over budget. A container pool from Midwest Container Pools arrives fully assembled and tested — ready to fill and swim the same day. See our 6-step installation process for details.
Prepare a level surface with 4 inches of compacted gravel. The filled pool weighs about 9 tons but distributes less than 1 PSI across its base — lighter than a person standing on one foot.
Your pool ships by truck from our facility. We deliver anywhere in the continental United States, typically within days of payment.
A standard crane positions the pool using the four corner castings built into every shipping container. The empty pool weighs approximately 2.7 tons.
Connect to a 110v-220v, 30 Amp dedicated GFCI circuit, fill with water, and start swimming. The entire process from delivery to first swim takes hours, not months.
Container Pool vs. Traditional Pool
| Feature | Container Pool | Traditional Pool |

| Total Cost | From $42,960 (20ft) | $50,000-$100,000+ |
| Heating Efficiency | 95%+ heat retention | Significant heat loss |
| Maintenance | Minimal — fiberglass resists algae | Weekly chemical balancing |
| Portability | Can be relocated | Permanent |
| Warranty | 5-year structural | Varies, often limited |
Container Pool Maintenance
One of the biggest advantages of a fiberglass container pool is how little maintenance it requires. The smooth, non-porous fiberglass surface resists algae growth and does not absorb chemicals the way concrete or vinyl pools do. Most owners spend about 10 minutes per week on maintenance — a fraction of the time a traditional pool demands.
Brush walls, check chemical levels, empty skimmer basket. The Pentair cartridge filter requires no backwashing.
Inspect the pump strainer basket, clean the cartridge filter if pressure rises, and test pH and alkalinity with a home kit.
In cold climates, winterize with a pool cover or drain if temperatures regularly drop below freezing. The foam insulation protects the shell from freeze-thaw cycles.
Replace cartridge filter element (about $40–$60). Inspect equipment connections. Schedule a chemical check if desired.
